Selection and application of QUANSEN CPAM

Cationic polyacrylamide (CPAM) is a linear polymer, because it has a variety of active groups, with many substances affinity, adsorption form hydrogen bonds.Mainly flocculation negatively charged colloid, except the turbidity, decoloring, adsorption, adhesion, and other functions, suitable for dyeing, papermaking, food, building, metallurgy, mineral processing, coal, oil field, aquatic products processing and fermentation industries such as waste water treatment of organic colloid content is higher, especially suitable for urban sewage, urban sewage sludge, sludge and other industrial sludge dewatering treatment.

Application of QUANSEN cationic polyacrylamide in wastewater treatment

1.Powdered cationic polyacrylamide is often used in organic wastewater: it is usually flocculated by effluent in which suspended particles are negatively charged.According to the positive ionization acidic or alkaline medium in the flocculation device, relying on the positive electricity is very effective for the rapid clarification of wastewater.In addition to powdered polyacrylamide, polyaluminum chloride and anionic polyacrylamide moulds are also being used widely in organic wastewater treatment.Treated sewage is shown on the right.

2.Alcohol plant waste water, brewery wastewater and gourmet powder factory wastewater, sugar refinery wastewater, meat factory waste water, beverage factory waste water, textile dyeing and all kinds of sewage in the engineering of wastewater treatment plant, with various organic solvent and inorganic and organic sulfides, hydrocarbons and chlorine gas, oil, mercury and other harmful to the environment, can use PAM flocculation after discharge.It can also be used as mud treating agent in oilfield development process, selective water shutoff agent, water injection thickening agent, softener in textile printing and dyeing process, electrostatic preventing agent and general sterilization and disinfectant.

Wherever there is sewage, sludge is produced. Therefore, sludge is an inevitable product of sewage treatment. Different sewage produces different sludge, and sludge is generally divided into organic sludge and inorganic sludge according to different components.

In order to improve the dewatering performance of sludge, sludge dehydrating agent should be used to regulate sludge.

Dissolution method and storage conditions of the flocculant polyacrylamide

Polyacrylamide is a water-soluble polymer. Generally, granular polyacrylamide can be stored in a dry and cool place for more than two years. After being mixed into a solution, the storage time is very limited.Generally speaking, when the solution concentration is 0.1%, the non-anionic polymer solution does not exceed one week.Cationic polymer solution not exceeding one day.Solution stability depends on concentration, and the thicker the solution (e.g., 3% to 5%) the longer the solution is stored.But the solution of 3% to 5% cannot directly treat sewage, and should be diluted before use.Cationic solutions are stable when PH is less than 5 and rapidly fail due to hydrolysis when PH is greater than 6.It is more sensitive to iron ions and calcium and magnesium ions than anionic polymers.

The following factors should be considered for concentration selection:

A. The preparation tank is small and the daily dosage is large. It is recommended to be slightly thick (e.g. 0.3%).

B. when the polymer has a high molecular weight, it is recommended to be slightly thinner (e.g. 0.1%).

Time calculation of different seasons:

1. When the temperature is high in summer, the anion and cationic polymers should be stirred for about 1 hour, and the non-ionic polymers should be stirred for about 2 hours.

2. In winter, when the water temperature is low, anion and cationic polymers should be stirred for about 1.5 hours, while non-ionic polymers should be stirred for about 3 hours.

3. The higher the preparation concentration, the faster the dissolution rate of the polymer.Inhomogeneity or inadequacy of solution can affect the effect of use.

Iron ions are the catalyst that causes the chemical degradation of all polyacrylamide, so try to avoid them when preparing, transferring, and storing polyacrylamide solutions.The equipment in contact with the solution is preferably made of unembroidered steel, plastic, fiberglass or coated carbon steel

The dosing should be done by gravity and pressure. No matter which dosing method is adopted, the dosing equipment should be set up from the solution pool to the solution pool and to the liquid liquid. The common liquid lifting equipment is metering pump and water ejector.

1. Gravity throw

Gravity is used to put the agent in the pump suction pipe or the suction hole of the water absorption well, and the pump impeller is used to mix.

2. Pressure drop

Use water pump or water ejector to put the agent into the original water pipe, which is suitable for the agent to be put into the pressure pipe, or need to be put into the water purification structure with higher elevation and distance.

3. Pump feeding

Pump feeding is to lift the liquid in the solution pool into the pressure pipe, which is enhanced by directly adopting metering pump and acid resistance.

Generally before use should be made into standby 0.1% ~ 0.5% of dilute solution, it is best not to store too long to make good solution, the concentration range of solution needs to be further diluted before use as 0.01 ~ 0.05 solution, the reason is that can be more ribs in the flocculating agent in the dispersion in the suspension system, can reduce the dosage, and can obtain better flocculation effect!


QUANSEN Cationic polyacrylamide guidelines

1) polyacrylamide is an organic polymer compound, which can be divided into anionic polyacrylamide, cationic polyacrylamide and non-ionic polyacrylamide.

2) anionic polyacrylamide is commonly used as flocculant in wastewater treatment, and cationic type is commonly used in sludge dewatering;

3) the dosage used as flocculant is generally 1-2ppm, that is, about 1-2g per ton of wastewater treated;

4) the anionic type is usually prepared into an aqueous solution of about 0.1%, while the cationic type can be prepared into 0.1% to 0.5%.

5) when preparing the solution, water should be added in the dissolving tank first, and then turn on the blender, and slowly add the PAM along the whirlpool. PAM cannot be put in quickly at one time, otherwise PAM will agglomerate to form "fisheye" and cannot be dissolved.

6) keep stirring for more than 30min after adding PAM to ensure its full dissolution;

7) the dissolved PAM should be used as soon as possible, and anion type should not exceed 36h in general. Cationic polyacrylamide is easy to hydrolyze after dissolution and should be used within 24h


attention

1. When used, it is extremely important to effectively disperse the product in the water, otherwise it will lead to the aggregation of dispersants and the production of "fisheye", and the dissolution time will increase. 

2, use warm water can accelerate the dissolution rate, but the temperature is too high, lead to the thermal degradation of polymer chain, viscosity will be affected, the average water temperature should not exceed 50 ℃.

3. Using stirring can help dissolve, but stirring too violently can break down the long chain of dispersing agent, and it is better to adopt ship type propulsion.

4. The water solution should not be stored for more than 48 hours, otherwise the viscosity will be reduced and the effect will be affected.
